Jeep Plans A New Two Door Scrambler Pickup Halo Model Before 2030

showed a new Scrambler pickup in 3-D-printed buck form on Thursday and said the two-door, -based truck is headed toward a launch before 2030. The company described it as a halo model for the Wrangler, a signal that the badge is being used for more than nostalgia.

The Scrambler has four seats, with rear seats that can reportedly turn around to face backward, and a hardtop with a removable rear section. Up front, it wears Wrangler freedom panels, a shark nose face, squarish headlights and a hood that cants forward with a prominent intake slot. Jeep also said the truck will get an SRT variant, adding another layer of performance intent to a vehicle that was presented as a mashup of a trophy truck, Wrangler and minivan.

The reveal came during Investor Day in Auburn Hills, where the automaker laid out a five-year Jeep product plan and showed how it intends to keep the brand in front of buyers while the market shifts. Jeep said it will continue updating the Wrangler lineup over the next five years, including two-door and Unlimited versions, while the Gladiator pickup gets a new look and the 392 for the first time. The 6.4-liter V-8 is part of the broader effort to keep the off-road lineup fresh as Jeep tries to balance tradition and newer technology.

The Scrambler’s design also shows how Jeep is mining its own playbook. Company executives said the front end was influenced by this year’s Easter Moab and Easter Jeep Safari concepts, which have long served as a testing ground for ideas that may later reach production. The truck’s shape leans into that heritage without pretending to be subtle, and the halo-model label suggests Jeep sees it as a brand statement as much as a product.

That said, not every piece of the Scrambler package is settled. The rear suspension remains unclear after one setup was reported and then walked back by , leaving an open question about how closely the finished truck will match the version shown on stage. also said the rear will mirror that setup, underscoring that Jeep is still talking through some of the details even as the outline of the vehicle comes into focus.

The Scrambler is only one part of Jeep’s next stretch. The all-new Jeep Recon is set to launch this year as an electric vehicle and then gain an internal combustion engine option next year. Stellantis CEO also said the Wagoneer S EV remains planned for 2027. For Jeep, the message on Thursday was clear: the brand is trying to widen its lineup without giving up the cues that made the Wrangler matter in the first place, and the new Scrambler is meant to sit at the center of that effort if the plan holds through 2030.
