Powerball Numbers Last Night: No Top Prize, Jackpot Rises to $172 Million

The powerball numbers last night were 5, 14, 21, 31 and 51, with a Powerball of 13, but no ticket matched all six numbers in the Wednesday night drawing on May 27, 2026. That left the $155 million top prize untouched and sent the jackpot rolling to an estimated $172 million for Saturday night.

The next drawing is set for 10:59 p.m. ET on May 30, with a cash value of $75.6 million. Powerball drawings are held every Monday, Wednesday and Saturday, and a single ticket costs $2.

While the jackpot carried over, one West Virginia player had a much better night. A ticket sold at in Shinnston, in Harrison County, matched five white ball numbers and added the Power Play option, turning a $1 million win into $2 million.

The winning Harrison County numbers were 4, 16, 41, 48 and 66. officials said the ticket holder should sign the back of the ticket and contact the agency at 304-558-0500 for claim instructions.

called it an incredible win for one of the lottery’s players and another exciting moment for West Virginia Lottery draw games. She said adding Power Play made a life-changing difference for the winner and urged players to check tickets carefully and play responsibly.

The contrast was stark: one drawing left the top prize on the table, while another ticket in West Virginia delivered a seven-figure payout that doubled because of a $1 add-on. That is the draw of the game, and the reason the next Powerball drawing will draw fresh attention as the jackpot climbs again.
