Two adults and two minors were found fatally shot inside a home in North Hills on Wednesday night, after the Los Angeles Police Department responded to a shooting in the 16000 block of Londelius Street at 7:50 p.m.
Four people were found dead inside the home, police said, and homicide detectives are now investigating the case. Authorities are not searching for a suspect, and early evidence points to a multiple murder-suicide, according to a law enforcement source.
Officials did not release the victims’ ages or genders. Helicopter footage captured by NBC4 showed police tape blocking off part of the residential street as investigators worked the scene.
The case now appears to be unfolding as a family tragedy rather than a manhunt, with police indicating there is no wider threat to the neighborhood. The unanswered question is how the shooting inside the home led to the deaths of all four victims, and investigators have not said what evidence points them toward that conclusion.
