Bandai Namco said Tekken 8 Patch 3.01.01 will arrive on May 28, with the rollout set for 0:00 CEST, 5:30 p.m. EDT on May 27 and 7:00 JST. The company said the update is meant to support Kunimitsu Early Access and correct unintended behavior, with the details to be posted in the tekken 8 patch notes on the day it goes live.
Before the patch lands, servers will go offline for maintenance at 11:30 p.m. CEST on May 27, 2:30 p.m. PDT and 6:30 a.m. JST on May 28, and all online content will be unavailable during that window. Bandai Namco said the maintenance for Patch 3.01.01 will last 30 minutes. For players in the U.S. Pacific time zone, that means the service break begins at 2:30 p.m. PDT and the patch follows at 3 p.m. PDT.
Kunimitsu is the first character being added in Season 3 of Tekken 8, and she will be available early to Season 3 Pass holders on May 28 before becoming a standalone character on June 1. Her return has been discussed before release with producer Michael Murray, who said she first appeared in Tekken 7 as a late-stage DLC character and that her design reflects her role as a student at Mishima Polytechnic.
Murray said Kunimitsu’s outfit blends ninja armor with a school uniform for that reason, and he also said Reina has already caught on to her infiltration. The two characters, he said, are acting like useful allies while keeping up a facade of friendship. He added that Kunimitsu uses the cursed blade Kujido in her Rage Art and that she fights with three distinct stances named Setsunagake, Back-Turned and Katon.
The timing matters because the patch is doing more than fixing bugs. It is the gate between Kunimitsu’s early access debut and the wider launch of one of Season 3’s headline additions. Players who want to see the full change list will not have to wait long, but they will have to wait until the day the patch arrives, when Bandai Namco says the tekken 8 patch notes will spell out what changed.
